Roaring Fork & Wildfish Seafood Grille Offer Complimentary Dessert to Halloween Blood Donors

All presenting donors will receive a culinary incentive coupon.

SAN ANTONIO - Roaring Fork and Wildfish Seafood Grille have a special treat for adults to enjoy this Halloween. Before you take your little witches and ghosts out for a night of trick-or-treating, donate blood and receive a coupon for a dessert, valid at either restaurant between Oct. 31, and Nov. 7.

Stop by any South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC) blood drive or fixed site on Saturday, Oct. 31, to donate blood, save lives and receive a coupon. Donate at any local Ashley Furniture store and be entered into an additional drawing for a dining group.

"We wanted to do something for the community and give back in a way that truly matters," said Carol Johnson and Barbara Hamil, general managers of Wildfish and Roaring Fork. "We're hoping that by giving away a dining group at each of our three locations it will help make a difference," said Ashley Furniture HomeStore Director of Sales, Shawn Seals.

Ashley Furniture knows the importance of donating blood and supports blood donation with their annual blood drive. They are excited to have this gift for their lifesaving donors. Don't let your kids have all the treats this year. Donate blood, save as many as three lives and treat yourself to a decadent dessert, such as Hot Chocolate Lava Brownie or Pineapple Cornmeal Upside Cake with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Anyone 16 years old weighing 120 pounds (with a parental consent form), or at least 17 years old weighing 110 pounds, and in good general health can donate blood. It is recommended to eat iron rich foods before donating and to drink plenty of fluids to keep the body hydrated.  Donors must present identification. For more information about blood donation, please call 731-5555 or visit our Web sites at www.southtexasblood.org or www.myspace.com/connectforlife.
